Coffee Chat: Behind The Lens

Debated whether or not to post this because there would be no turning back. Many of you know me and what I have been dealing with for the past 12 years and many of you only see me through the lens of a camera and a writer through the screen. For a while I feel like I have been living a double life, my personal life and my online life. Which I though was appropriate at the time to use my online life as an escape. I have met so many incredible people all over the world who I have become great friends with. I have seen comments both on here and my Instagram saying "I wish I was you." "You're so perfect" "You have the perfect life." Trust me that couldn't be farther from the truth (I mean I know I'm pretty cool but not everything is as it seems).

We live in a world where social media reigns and we look at other people and compare ourselves and put them in this dream bubble of wanting to have their life. Comparison is the thief of joy my friends. Be happy in your own skin and work towards your own goals. YOU are unique, YOU are beautiful and YOU have the power to do what YOU WANT.

With that being said you guys don't see the behind the scenes of what really goes on. Yes I love to travel and blog and share all my little inspirations but I have also dealt with Chronic Lyme since 2004. This is not a post to get sympathy, this is a post to spread awareness and to let you know that if you are dealing with a chronic illness you are not alone and that you are a soldier and can get through anything.

Never give up on your dreams, and don't be afraid to speak your mind. My goal has always been to empower others to pursue their passion and to help others going through difficult times. I will be incorporating more of what life is really like with me both on here and Instagram because 1. I know many of you deal with the same thing 2. I want to be as real as possible and 3. there are people out there who not only need the support but need the comfort of knowing they have a friend out there.

I feel like I am at a point in my life where I don't care what others think and I am not ashamed to share what I have been through because it has made me into the person I am today. I love you guys and want to thank each and every one of you who have supported me on this journey.

I plan on doing a post that goes a little more in depth of my day to day life. If that is something you are interested in or have questions that you would like me to answer please leave me a comment below. I would love to hear from you!

Travel Diaries: Red Bank, NJ

I am a wanderluster for sure. I love traveling to different places and finding blessings and inspiration in the littlest of things!

My family and I took a little beach vacation to the Jersey Shore and there were so many happy memories that I wanted to share.

After a long day at the beach we decided to go to this amazing restaurant called Rooney's right on the beach! The food was amazing (their piña coladas are pretty good too) and after a crazy rain storm this beautiful full rainbow showed up over the ocean. Of course people swooned to the windows to get pictures, snapchats, and instas. This was the first time I actually saw a whole rainbow and could see where it touched on both sides (it's a sign of good luck so I'll take all I can get!) It was so beautiful and just put a smile on so many peoples faces not to mention a huge spur of inspiration and feeling of blessedness.

Typical Instagram photo of my piña and cheesecake because we have to document these things.

Momma's beautiful photo taking skills of me and my sister. Couldn't have had a more beautiful view!

A virgin for my sister, A strawberry daiquiri for myself and a coconut martini for Momma!

This photo collage puts the biggest smile on my face. My family is everything to me and to be able to look back at this memory always makes me so happy. I am blessed with such a beautiful, supportive and loving family and we always know to have fun. It all started with us girls trying to do selfies and then Dad started doing a full on photoshoot because we were failing at getting ourselves in frame. Hence all the photos of us laughing and posing and just having fun!

I love this photo I took from the indoor pool. Just trying to let my creative juices flow :)

Our beautiful beach day (it took a bit of waiting until people got out of my way but it was worth it haha!)

The two photos above were from The Robinson Ale House and I loved the decor and ambiance of the place. You all know how much of a sucker I am for interior design. If you happen to be in the Red Bank area, I highly recommend this place. Hands down the BEST burger I have ever had in my life AND it was gluten free!

Last but definitely not least, can we just appreciate this incredible chandelier? Beauty and the Beast status anyone?
